Me and my Blog
My name is Amy. When I was little, my parents called me “Aimerkins”, which was originally going to be the name for this blog, but my husband thought that no one else would really get it. My husband is Brian and he will be mentioned periodically in my blogging (mainly for giving me weird looks when I bring home more yarn). We also have a cat, Honey, who will appear in the Knitterverse at times when it is in need of either extra cuteness or extra attitude (she excels at both).
I’m 30 years old and have been knitting since January 2005, when I learned to knit with co-workers in a conference room over a few lunch-hours. I’ve been going pretty strong ever since, and first entered the world of knit-blogging this past November at Blue Thing Pie. I think that knit-blogging has made my interest in knitting even stronger, and I am excited to start my new blog here at Across the Knitterverse.
